Chicago Bears NFL Draft Picks: 2019 Round-by-Round Results, Grades
The Bears' 2018 season was marked by drastic turnaround that was capped off by a first-place NFC North finish.
After going 5–11 for a third straight losing season in 2017, the Bears fired coach John Fox and brought on former Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy to right the ship. The Bears then signed Raiders All-Pro pass rusher Khalil Mack to a record deal after a trade with Oakland. Mack made an immediate impact, recording 47 tackles, 12.5 sacks and six forced fumbles in his first year with the team.
With close losses, the Bears stayed competitive all season and Nagy was named NFL Coach of the Year following his first year with the team. Chicago finished the year at 12–4, losing to the Eagles in the NFC Wild Card game after a last-second field goal attempt from Cody Parkeydouble-doinked off the posts.
