The Buccaneers entered the year coming off a disappointing 8–9 season and lost Tom Brady to retirement, leading much of the NFL world to write them off ahead the 2023 campaign. Undaunted, Tampa Bay is 2–0 and rolling after wins over the Vikings and Bears

After Sunday’s win over Chicago, Bucs linebacker Devin White seemed pleasantly surprised, and he poked fun at himself when he commented on an Instagram post celebrating the team’s 27–17 win over the Bears.

“This defense is so fun to be apart of 😌 I’m stupid for trying to leave ! Young fast physical steppers 🏁🤣” White wrote.

White was referring to his offseason trade request amid his displeasure with his rookie contract. Both sides eventually came to an agreement that brought White back into the fold, but he still has yet to agree to a new pact with the team. However, his last comment gives a clear indication that he’s likely willing to stay if the team keeps winning.
