Rob Gronkowski Slams Stefon, Trevon Diggs for Handling of Bills’ Turmoil
Bills receiver Stefon Diggs has been sparking trade rumors since the offseason as he has appeared at times to not be happy with the team and quarterback Josh Allen.
Diggs has since cleared up that there’s no tension between him and Allen, but the rumors have lingered. They flared up once again after Monday night’s rough 24–22 loss to the Broncos, especially since Allen didn’t play too well, completing just 57.7% of his passes with two interceptions.
Stefon’s brother, Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs, even tweeted after the game, begging his brother to get out of Buffalo.
The situation about Diggs and the Bills has become a popular topic in the NFL world this week, so much so that former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski offered his opinion on it. Gronkowski was highly critical of how the Diggs brothers are handling the situation while speaking with Kay Adams on Up & Adams on Wednesday.
“It doesn’t make sense. You’re paid. You’re the No. 1 wide receiver. What’s the worry?” Gronkowski said. “Josh Allen looks to go to you every single time that he possibly can. You got your stats. It’s not like you’ll be better with another team. I don’t know what the problem is. … Just suck it up. Why cause these problems?”
The four-time Super Bowl champion added that he doesn’t believe Diggs will be in Buffalo come the 2024 season. Only time will tell.
The Bills hold a 5–5 record, which puts them second in the AFC East standings behind the Dolphins. Buffalo will face the Jets on Sunday.
