Packers’ Rashan Gary Had Perfect Comment to Teammates After Tearing Up Over Getting Game Ball
Packers linebacker Rashan Gary finished with a career-high three sacks in a single game on Thursday in the team’s 29–22 win over the Lions.
Gary also forced two fumbles and had seven tackles. One of his sacks came in the fourth quarter on a Lions fourth down, which helped secure the win for the Packers.
After the game, Green Bay coach Matt LeFleur presented Gary with the game ball in a packed locker room. LeFleur listed various reasons why the 25-year-old deserved the Thanksgiving game ball, including the fact that about a year ago, Gary was recovering from a torn ACL after injuring himself against the Lions.
Gary couldn’t help but start crying while his coach spoke about him.
“I’m tired of crying around y’all,” Gary said as he hugged LeFleur.
It was a big game for quarterback Jordan Love, too. He threw three touchdowns and 268 yards in the big win, as the Packers moved to 5–6 on the season.
