49ers Officially Have Seven Players Named as a 2023 All-Pro

Here are the seven 49ers that were named as an All-Pro and what to make of it.
In this story:

It was never a question of if, but how many All-Pro players would the 49ers have this year?

Well, the answer to that question is clear now after The Associated Press released their All-Pro rosters today. The 49ers officially have seven players named as a 2023 All-Pro. That is nothing short of stellar with five 49ers making the first-team and two making the second-team.

Players who made the first-team are Christian McCaffrey, Kyle Juszczyk, Trent Williams, George Kittle, and Fred Warner. McCaffrey and Warner join Dolphins' Tyreek Hill as the only three players to be voted unanimously as an All-Pro. It just goes to show how special they were this season. This year is also the first ever that a fullback is allowed to make the roster, so congratulations are in order for Juszczyk.

As for the second-team, the two players that made it are Brandon Aiyuk and Charvarius Ward. So, along with Juszczyk, Aiyuk and Ward make their first ever All-Pro team. Entering 2023, both Aiyuk and Ward had plans on making this season their best. And with an All-Pro honor to their names, I'd say they accomplished that goal.

The Associated Press got it right with the exact seven 49ers making the All-Pro team. Earlier this week, I predicted which 49ers would be named an All-Pro with Aiyuk being the one I didn't list. He actually is a surprise for me, but it was more so because I wasn't sure if there was a spot to be carved out. Sure enough, he ends up in a tie with votes that puts him in. An incredible job of Aiyuk and one that is deserving.

Potential snubs as an All-Pro that some will potentially view are Brock Purdy and Nick Bosa. Purdy apparently fell just short of votes on the second-team behind Dak Prescott. He has a case to be made as a snub, but I don't see one being valid for Bosa. Regardless, not being named as an All-Pro does not take away anything from these two players in 2023.

Tip of the cap to the seven 49ers who can call themselves an All-Pro in 2023.
