Bengals Rank Poorly In NFLPA's First Annual Team Report Card
CINCINNATI — The NFL Player's Association released its first annual NFL team report card, and the Bengals had mixed results.
Players gave letter grades for the following categories: treatment of families, nutrition, weight room, strength staff, training room, training staff, and locker room.
Here is where the Bengals are graded in every category.
Cincinnati was one of three teams to get an "F-" in nutrition and one of four to get an "F" for family treatment.
The report noted a few glaring things about the nutrition grade:
- One of three teams in the NFL that doesn't provide dinner to players
- One of only two teams to not provide vitamins to players
- The only team that doesn't provide supplements to players
There aren't any glaring positives to take from this striking poll. Nearly half the league got an "A-" or better on strength coaches and training staff.
The Bengals only ranked top 10 in those two categories. Players have voiced how much they love playing for each other, but the facilities themselves (and family interactions) are a different story.
The NFLPA surveyed 1,300 of the NFL's 2,200 players for the poll.
