CINCINNATI — The Bengals added wide receiver Charlie Jones in the fourth round (131st overall) in the 2023 NFL Draft.

The 24-year-old had 110 receptions for for 1,361 yards and 12 touchdowns last season. He ran a 4.43 40-yard dash and is expected make an instant impact as a rookie.

"I think I can help them in a lot of ways. I'm very diverse. I can be a weapon on special teams and be a weapon wherever I can," Jones said on a conference call.

He was named Big Ten Return Specialist of the Year in 2021. He isn't the biggest player at 5-11, 175, but his ball skills, speed and route running ability make him a weapon all over the field.

"My size is what it is, but when that ball is in the air I'm going to go get it," Jones said.

The Bengals are hoping he can make an instant impact on special teams and give Joe Burrow another weapon to utilize on offense.
