Joe Burrow Receives Big Praise From Bill Belichick Ahead of Bengals' Matchup With Patriots

Cincinnati enters the game with a 10-4 record this season.

CINCINNATI — The Bengals are hoping to win their seventh-straight game when they play the Patriots on Saturday afternoon.

Legendary head coach Bill Belichick is familiar with great quarterback play. He had nothing but praise for Bengals' star Joe Burrow.

“First of all he’s tough. He’ll stand in there [to] throw the ball, take a hit to make a play," Belichick said. "Accurate, hits all the throws. Tough to tackle. Manages the game well. Sees the game well. Productive in critical situations. Red area, third downs, big games. He makes a lot of his best plays at the right time, when you really need them. It's impressive."

Burrow introduced himself to Belichick at a steakhouse before the 2020 NFL Draft. That's the only time the two have ever interacted with each other in person.

The 26-year-old has quickly established himself as one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.

Cincinnati plays New England on Christmas Eve. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET on CBS. You can watch via fuboTV—start your free trial here.
