Report: Browns Interested In Signing Bengals Tight End Hayden Hurst

Cincinnati's top safeties and tight ends are free agents this offseason.

CINCINNATI — The Cleveland Browns are interested in another Bengals player. SB Nation reports Hayden Hurst is on the Browns' radar along with safety Jessie Bates III.

"Hayden Hurst and Foster Moreau are two names that have been mentioned as Cleveland targets," Jared Mueller wrote.

The Browns also popped up as a Bates suitor earlier this week and Mueller added a nugget to that story.

"The Jessie Bates III rumor is real, but Bates is hoping for a contract that blows people away," Mueller wrote.

Cincinnati will likely try and retain Hurst, who has a much better shot to stay, given the Bengals' financial situation. It would be tough to swallow losing both of them. Spotrac projects Hurst to sign a one-year/$6.8 million deal somewhere.

The Bengals are in a rare spot where both of their top two safeties/tight ends are free agents. Drew Sample could leave this offseason as well.
