Bengals Notes: Ja'Marr Chase Expected to Play, Browns Could Rest Starters in Week 18

Cincinnati is hoping to improve to 9-7 on the season.
In this story:

CINCINNATI — Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase is expected to play today against the Chiefs according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

That's no surprise after the 23-year-old practiced on Thursday and Friday. Chase missed last week's game to the Steelers with a separated shoulder. He'll probably be less than 100%, but it sounds like the Bengals' top weapon will be on the field.

If the Bengals can beat the Chiefs, they'll improve to 9-7 on the season and keep their playoff hopes alive. There's a chance they'll be playing the Browns backups in Week 18.

Cleveland has already clinched the No. 5 seed in the AFC playoffs. If the Ravens beat the Dolphins, the Browns will have nothing to play for and could rest their starters next week.

The Bengals need to win their final two games to give themselves a realistic shot at the postseason. As weird as it sounds, Cincinnati should be rooting for Baltimore today. The Ravens play the Dolphins at 1 p.m. ET.

It probably won't matters though, unless the Bengals don't beat the Chiefs in Kansas City. Kickoff is at 4:25 p.m. ET.
