Bengals WR Tee Higgins Surprises Family With Free Birthday Meal

The playmaker wanted to remain anonymous until the table got their bill.

CINCINNATI — Tee Higgins pulled a page out of another 85's playbook this week. The Bengals wide receiver channeled Chad Johnson's signature move by paying for a family's full birthday meal.

According to WLWT, a server at Nasu Japanese Steakhouse in Newport, Kentucky, was helping a party celebrating a birthday, when a man at another table motioned her over and told her to give him the bill when they finished.

The mysterious man was Tee Higgins, who told the server, Mackenzie Poor, to keep his identity a mystery.

"I told everyone else that they were good to go and have a nice day. They made a joke and said, 'oh so we don’t have to pay?' I said, “No, actually. The gentleman over here took care of your bill for you," Poor said in her Facebook post.

Higgins revealed his name on the back of the receipt, which included a generous tip. The note read, "Happy Birthday! Tee Higgins Bengals #85."

The gesture continues a special bond between Cincinnati, and receivers wearing 85.
