Jets Trade for Joe Flacco Ahead of Week 8 Matchup Against Bengals

Rookie quarterback Zach Wilson suffered a knee injury on Sunday.

CINCINNATI — The Bengals travel to New York to play the Jets in Week 8 and they could face a familiar face. 

The Jets are trading a conditional sixth-round pick to the Eagles in exchange for veteran quarterback Joe Flacco according to Mike Garafolo. 

Flacco has familiarity with New York's coaching staff and while it's unlikely that he would start against the Bengals with rookie Zach Wilson out with a knee injury, there's always a chance that the veteran could get on the field as soon as this Sunday. 

Mike White is expected to start with Wilson out. 

Flacco is familiar with the Bengals after spending his first 11 NFL seasons in Baltimore.
