No, Logan Wilson Didn't Take a Shot at Lamar Jackson

It's silly season.

CINCINNATI — The Bengals travel to Baltimore to play the Ravens on Sunday afternoon. The winner will be in first place in the AFC nearly halfway through the season.

Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson unintentionally raised some eyebrows following Cincinnati's Week 6 win over Detroit when asked about facing Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson.

"He’s a running back that also plays quarterback," Wilson said. "I think he’s very dynamic. We just gotta contain him as best we can. We’ll get more into that game plan next week."

Naturally, there were some that took Wilson's comments and ran with them, but does the second-year linebacker really think Jackson is a running back?

No. And it didn't take long for Wilson to clarify what he said.

"This is 1000% a compliment to him with his skill set as a runner," Wilson tweeted on Sunday night. "No need to try and make something out of nothing lol. We all know he’s an elite passer too."

Despite the clarification, national shows ran with the topic.

Jackson is 5-0 as a starter against the Bengals and the Ravens have beat Cincinnati by a combined score of 161-57 in those games.

It would be silly for Wilson to call out Jackson, especially since he's owned the Bengals since entering the league in 2018. For more on this, watch the video at the top of the page.
