Joe Burrow Not Expected to Play Against Browns
CINCINNATI — Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow doesn't expect to play in Sunday's regular season finale against the Browns.
"No, I do not," Burrow said when asked if he expects to play. "I'm the backup quarterback this week, so I'm helping Brandon."
Burrow went on to say that he's not sure if he'll dress for the game.
"Anytime you can get a little break at this point of the season [is good]," Burrow said. "Rest me this week so I can be full strength running around like I need to be in Week 1 of the playoffs."
Veteran quarterback Brandon Allen is expected to start in Burrow's place.
The Bengals have clinched the AFC North title. They'll host at least one playoff game at Paul Brown Stadium.
