Louis Riddick Makes Bold Prediction For Joe Burrow and the Bengals

Cincinnati is hoping to win the AFC for a second-straight season.
In this story:

CINCINNATI — Bengals training camp is in full swing and Joe Burrow is back in action. He missed the first couple of weeks after undergoing an appendectomy.

At least one national analyst is bullish on Burrow and the Bengals.

"Joe Burrow will be in the MVP conversation," ESPN's Louis Riddick said on the Rich Eisen Show. "Joe Burrow for me? Joe Burrow's a top five quarterback. Joe Burrow may be a top three quarterback. It may be (Tom) Brady, Aaron (Rodgers), Joe (Burrow). He's right in there."

Riddick believes the additions of Ted Karras, Alex Cappa and La'el Collins will make a huge difference for Burrow and the rest of the Bengals' offense.

"My high school offensive line could've blocked better than they did last year," Riddick said. "Last year he (Burrow) had to be perfect every play, otherwise he knew his life was in danger from getting hit."

Burrow led the NFL in completion percentage (70.4%) and yards-per-attempt (8.9) last season. He threw for a Bengals record 4,611 yards and 34 touchdowns.

If the offensive line is competent, then Burrow and the rest of this offense should be even better in 2022.
