NFL Insider Names Lou Anarumo as Potential Candidate for Head Coaching Job

The Bengals have a 5-4 record at the bye.
In this story:

CINCINNATI — Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo has done a great job this season.

Cincinnati's defense didn't allow a second half touchdown in the first seven games of the year. They also dominated PJ Walker and the Panthers in Week 9, despite being shorthanded.

Combine this season with last year's run and Anarumo is being mentioned as a candidate for a head coaching job.

Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer believes more defensive coaches should get a look this offseason. He shared the defensive coordinators that he would consider:

"On that list, for me, would be the Eagles’ Jonathan Gannon, Broncos’ Ejiro Evero, Raiders’ Pat Graham, Rams’ Raheem Morris, Cardinals’ Vance Joseph, Patriots’ Jerod Mayo, Bills’ Leslie Frazier, Bengals’ Lou Anarumo and the Giants’ Wink Martindale."

Anarumo interviewed for the Giants head coaching job last season. It wouldn't be shocking to see him get multiple interviews in January, especially if the Bengals make another playoff run.
