Multiple NFL Stars Test Positive for COVID-19

A few different teams are dealing with a coronavirus outbreak.

Rams star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey were among the NFL stars that tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday. 

Seven teams have entered the NFL's intensive protocols due to coronavirus outbreaks: Rams, Browns, Falcons, Lions, Vikings, Bears and the Washington Football Team. 

Chiefs star defensive end Chris Jones is in the NFL's COVID-19 protocol. The Browns had eight players test positive on Tuesday, including starting offensive linemen Wyatt Teller and Jedrick Wills. 

The NFL may have to revisit their safety guidelines with so many players testing positive over the past few days and weeks. 

That’s seven NFL teams under the league’s enhanced protocols - the Rams and Browns as of today, and the five @DanGrazianoESPN mentioned Monday (Falcons, Lions, Vikings, WFT, Bears). Teams will be tapping into those practice squads.
