Report: Steelers Place Kicker Chris Boswell on Injured Reserve

The team is signing a replacement for at least four games, including the Bengals matchup.

CINCINNATI — The Pittsburgh Steelers are going without longtime kicker Chris Boswell for at least four weeks. 

According to Adam Schefter, Pittsburgh placed Boswell on injured reserve and signed Matthew Wright to step in for him.

Wright will kick against the Bengals next Sunday. He has been solid in his career, making 28-of-32 attempts since entering the league in 2020.

The Steelers had him fill in for three games that season—he kicked in 14 games for Jacksonville last season—and two this year for Kansas City.

The Bengals battle the Steelers at 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS next weekend.
