Bills BREAKING: 'My Knee Is Healed!' Von Miller Vows to Avoid Buffalo PUP

“It’s all about me,'' the Bills' Von Miller says of his comeback, "and how confident I can be (over) the next three months.”

The Buffalo Bills have wisely tried to insulate themselves from any problems in terms of the defensive roster just in case star end Von Miller isn't ready until, say Week 6 of the upcoming NFL season.

But Miller himself is now insisting he expects to avoid the physically unable to perform (PUP) list when training camp begins next month. ... and that his torn right ACL is "all healed up.''

“I have good information from my doctor and my knee is all healed up,” Miller said after hosting his annual "pass rush summit" in Las Vegas, via the Buffalo News.

It is worth noting that Miller, who tore up his knee in the Bills’ win at Detroit on Thanksgiving, is an eternal optimist. When it was first suggested to the future Hall of Fame pass rusher that he should be ready to play by Week 6 of this NFL season, he essentially responded that "their Week 6'' means "by Week 1'' to him.

But in any event, if he doesn’t start camp on the PUP list, the team can’t use that particular designation for him to start the season - a designation that would mean he is automatically out for a minimum of six games.

Miller clearly is not accepting that as his fate. And the Super Bowl-contending Bills would love for his personal prognosis to be accurate.

“It’s all about me,'' Miller said, "and how confident I can be (over) the next three months.”

The Bills open the regular season Sept. 11 at the New York Jets. Von Miller being ready to play then - assuming there are no dangers - represents a pivot point in the Bills' climb to success.
