Aaron Rodgers Trade to Jets is 'Done' or Not? Bills Prepare for AFC East Shakeup

Aaron Rodgers has reportedly been traded to the New York Jets, creating a rivalry with the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East. But reports on the matter are currently conflicting.

The Green Bay Packers have reportedly completed a trade that would send quarterback Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets, per reports Monday from NFL insider Trey Wingo.

As of now, it seems the Buffalo Bills have a new heated rivalry brewing in the AFC East.

However, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says otherwise ...

"I wish it did," he tweeted. "I wish something had happened. But nothing has happened.

Someone is in the wrong here. Either way, it's not nothing that Jets receiver and 2022 Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson seems to also know something we don't.

Y’all (should) see this smile on me (right now)," he tweeted shortly after the news broke.

Rodgers, who has yet to confirm if he'll be back next season, still has one year left on his contract with the Packers. However, per NFL Network, the Packers gave permission to Rodgers to speak with the Jets before Monday's legal tampering period took place, making a potential trade from Green Bay look more mutual by the minute.

Of course, this would bring Rodgers to the AFC East, where he and the Bills would meet twice during the regular season for the foreseeable future. Bills quarterback Josh Allen has already gone head-to-head with Rodgers on the golf course. Maybe this extends over to the gridiron.

With reports currently saying two different things, it's hard to put a pin on what exactly is the truth.

Either way, the Bills should have their eyes peeled for the potential arrival of one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history joining their division.
