Aaron Rodgers Jets Trade Would Be 'Dangerous!' Says Bills' Micah Hyde

Former teammate of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, current Buffalo Bills safety Micah Hyde shared his thoughts on the Hall of Fame quarterback potentially joining the AFC East via trade to the New York Jets.

How would it be for the Buffalo Bills and the rest of the AFC East if Aaron Rodgers joined the New York Jets

It would be "dangerous," according to Bills safety Micah Hyde who spoke on the NFL Network's Good Morning Football about Rodgers being traded to the Jets.

"Playing against him is going to be tough," Hyde said at the prospects of Rodgers joining the AFC East. "When Aaron Rodgers steps in that locker room with the Jets, if it happens, he's going to give that whole team confidence. They're all going to get better because of it."

Hyde knows more than most about the impact on a locker room that includes Rodgers. Hyde played with Rodgers for four seasons (2013-16) in Green Bay, where he played out his rookie deal.

The two-time All-Pro safety played in just two games in 2022 after suffering a season-ending neck injury in the Week 2 41-7 win over the Tennessee Titans. Despite never playing against the Jets last season, Hyde did offer up his evaluation of them.

"Defensively, they're a very good team and they have weapons on offense, so once he steps in the room, it's going to give all of them confidence. That's a dangerous thing," Hyde said.

Inconsistency at quarterback held the Jets' offense back, as Zach Wilson was even benched later in the season for backup Mike White. Bringing in a future Hall of Famer in Rodgers is a move to try and bring stability back to the offense and boost them back in the playoff conversation.
