Bills to Work Out WR Andy Isabella: Signing Coming?

Potentially looking to add more depth on offense, the Buffalo Bills are set to work out former second-round receiver Andy Isabella.

The Buffalo Bills are certainly not hurting for talent, especially on the offensive side of the ball. From superstar quarterback Josh Allen to the receiver duo of Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis, they have weapons littered across the depth chart.

However, there is no such thing as having too much talent or depth, especially in the NFL.

Following that same logic, it was reported Thursday that free agent receiver Andy Isabella will be working out for the Bills on Friday as he looks to show he's worth taking a flyer on.

The question then becomes, of course, is Isabella someone the Bills should take a chance on?

Isabella is a former second-round pick, drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2019. Waived by the Cardinals last season, he signed with the Baltimore Ravens' practice squad. But after four seasons in the league, he has yet to make a major impact on a roster.

In his first four seasons, Isabella has managed to haul in only 33 receptions for 447 receiving yards and three touchdowns, having only started in three of his 41 appearances.

Should Isabella impress the Bills in his workout, he would likely see a majority of his snaps in the slot. The Bills already have second-year receiver Khalil Shakir on the roster who showed flashes as a rookie last season after recording 10 catches for 161 yards and a touchdown.

Ultimately, bringing in Isabella would not cost the Bills a fortune. Even with that, though, they have talent on the roster already that is ready to breakout - talent that could outperform Isabella.
