BREAKING: Bills Re-Sign DB Jordan Poyer Despite Rumors of Leaving

The Buffalo Bills have successfully completed contract negotiations with veteran safety Jordan Poyer, which will keep him at Orchard Park.

The Buffalo Bills are bringing the band back together.

According to NFL Network, the Bills are granting Micah Hyde's wish and bringing back his safety partner Jordan Poyer.

This past season, Poyer made his first Pro Bowl after recording 63 tackles in 12 games with the Bills. He also added four interceptions to the box score, ranking first on the team.

The news of his contract extension puts to an end the speculation and even social media flirting that Poyer had with the Miami Dolphins. The 31-year-old spoke numerous times about the idea of staying in the AFC East and moving down to Florida.

When openly talking about where he'd like to live next on his podcast, Poyer said he'd like a state that "won't take half my money," and a place where it is warm and sunny. Miami fits these descriptions, but in the end, it seems no deal was done as Poyer returns to Buffalo after testing the market.

After losing inside linebacker Tremaine Edmunds to the Chicago Bears, the Bills bring back one of their veteran leaders in Poyer. Despite being injured throughout the season with a torn meniscus, Poyer continued to play at a high level. Now, he hopes that the strong play will continue as the Bills gear up for another potential Super Bowl run.
