Bills EXCLUSIVE: 'I'd Pick Him No. 1!' - Jordan Addison Scouting Report from USC
The Buffalo Bills have been linked to receivers throughout the 2023 NFL Draft process.
Most recently, news emerged that the Bills are set to host Ohio State star wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba for a top-30 visit, just days after being given USC receiver Jordan Addison in ESPN's latest mock draft.
Smith-Njigba is largely viewed as the draft's top pass catcher, but he's unlikely to be available when Buffalo's on the clock at No. 27 overall - so how about Addison?
The 2021 Biletnikoff winner is far from a bad consolation prize - and former USC corner and likely draftee Mekhi Blackmon believes Addison is the best receiver in the class.
"Most definitely," Blackmon told SI's Bills Central at the NFL Combine. "I would say he's the best for sure. No disrespect to the guys in the draft, but just going against him and seeing how he runs routes.
"If I were a team, I would pick him No. 1 for sure."
Addison has drawn comparisons to former Atlanta Falcons star and now-Jacksonville Jaguars wideout Calvin Ridley, one of the league's top route runners and an All-Pro in 2020.
The 5-11, 173-pound Addison ran a 4.49 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine and earned first-team All-Pac-12 honors in his lone season at USC after catching 59 passes for 875 yards and eight touchdowns.
Addison, 21, spent the first two years of his collegiate career at the University of Pittsburgh, where he went from freshman All-American to the nation's best receiver.
In Buffalo, he'd have a chance to do much of the same, learning from star wideout Stefon Diggs while catching passes from quarterback Josh Allen, which is certainly a strong environment for a rookie to be placed into.
And with that, it's possible Addison could be "the best" - and the Bills' "No. 1" pick come Apr. 27.
