Bills One of 10 'Interesting' Teams That Met With Frank Gore Jr. at NFL Combine
Frank Gore finished his NFL career as the third-leading rusher in league history. 599 of those yards came with the Buffalo Bills during his only season with the team in 2019, his second-to-last year as a pro.
Now just five years later, Gore's son is meeting with teams at the NFL Scouting Combine, and the legend's former Western New York squad is one of many organizations showing interest.
Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Bills and Dolphins were two of 10 teams that met with Frank Gore Jr. at the NFL Combine Rapoport did not reveal the other teams that also met with him.
"(Gore Jr.) has met with 10 teams during this Combine including some interesting ones that his dad played for, the Dolphins and the Bills," Rapoport said on NFL Network. "He was a late addition, actually one of the last players chosen for the East-West Shrine Game."
Gore Jr. didn't run the 40-yard dash with the other running backs on Saturday.
In the aforementioned East-West Shrine Bowl, Gore Jr., who projects as a Day 3 draft pick, rushed six times for 87 yards and one touchdown. Helping the West Team to a 26-11 victory, he was named the game's Offensive MVP.

In 12 games for Southern Mississippi this past fall, Gore totaled 1,131 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground.
The Bills have their running back of the future in James Cook, but could use some depth on the 53-man or practice squad rosters with veterans Latavius Murray, Ty Johnson and Damien Harris all set to hit free agency.
The 2024 NFL Draft begins on Thursday, April 25 in Detroit.
