Gabe Davis Reveals Problems Plaguing Buffalo Bills: 'What The (Bleep) is Going On?'

Buffalo Bills receiver Gabe Davis believes he has an answer to the team's recent struggles.

The Buffalo Bills are probably the most perplexing team in the NFL this season, and that's not a good thing.

Buffalo has shown flashes of what it can be this season, particularly early on when it crushed three of its first four opponents. However, consistency has been an issue for the Bills all season, especially lately as they've started off several games on the wrong foot. As a result, the Bills are outside of the playoff picture at 5-4 and already have more losses than they did all of last season.

According to receiver Gabe Davis, that consistency is the biggest problem that's been plaguing the Bills in recent weeks.

“This is probably the most adversity we’ve had to go through since I’ve been here,” Davis told The Athletic. “It feels like there’s something missing, you know? We’ve shown that we can play at a high level, but the consistency makes us think, ‘What the f*** is going on?'”

Another problem for Buffalo has been the lack of explosiveness from its usually high-powered offense. The Bills are averaging noticeably fewer big plays both on the ground and through the air this season compared to last, leading to heavy criticism for offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey. Davis believes that the Bills must find some fireworks if they are to get out of this funk.

"A lack of big plays has taken some of the energy out of it,” Davis said. “It’s gotten to be more of a grind, but it’s going to be the best feeling when we do get there, when we do win.”

The players recognize there's something wrong in Buffalo, as veteran running back Latavius Murray called for a players only meeting earlier this week. At the end of the day, though, it's up to the Bills to get themselves out of this funk, as no one's coming to help them.

“At the end of the day, it’s our team,” Davis said. “The media, the coaches, the fans, anybody can say whatever they want. We just have to believe in each other and play for each other and have the same agenda.

“I think we do have that, but the inconsistency is killing us all.”
