Bills Injury Update: Jordan Phillips to IR, Micah Hyde OUT vs. Chargers?

Jordan Phillips and Micah Hyde will be out for the Buffalo Bills against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Buffalo Bills defense has taken many hits so far this season, and it appears going into Week 16 that the unit is bound to take a couple more.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Buffalo is placing defensive tackle Jordan Phillips on injured reserve with a wrist injury. But that isn't the only bad news for Buffalo ... defensive back Micah Hyde is expected to miss Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers with a neck injury.

Phillips, 31, has played in all 14 games for the Bills so far this season, recording nine starts. He has 15 tackles and 2.5 sacks this season, but that will likely be his final numbers as going to injured reserve will cost him the rest of the regular season. He will have an opportunity to potentially return in the postseason should the Bills make it that far.

As for Hyde, he will miss his second straight game with a neck injury. While the Bills were able to win last week despite his absence, they would certainly rather have him out on the field than on the sideline. Hyde has 49 tackles this season and a pair of interceptions.

The Bills are back on the field Saturday night when they play the Chargers. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET exclusively on Peacock.
