Bills QB Josh Allen on DeAndre Hopkins: 'We'd Love to Have Him'

Buffalo Bills quarterback DeAndre Hopkins reaffirmed his desire to play with free agent receiver DeAndre Hopkins in Orchard Park.

Former Arizona Cardinals receiver DeAndre Hopkins remains the hottest player on the free agent market, and the Buffalo Bills are still vying for his services.

Multiple Bills players have been vocal about their desire to see Hopkins come to Buffalo, and star quarterback Josh Allen is the latest to join the list. After fulfilling a childhood dream by becoming the Madden 24 cover athlete, Allen made a recruiting pitch for the star receiver.

"My pitch would be, it would increase our Madden offensive rating, probably quite a bit," Allen said in an interview with USA Today Sports. "I don't know what it is right now, what it's gonna be, but I think we'd jump up a couple points just by adding his name to our roster.

"He's a heck of a talent and a heck of a player. We'd love to have him."

Hopkins has been linked to Buffalo for a while now, even before his exit from Arizona. Shortly after Hopkins' release, the Bills were even the odds-on favorites to land the star receiver. It's unclear where they stand now, but they are likely still in the mix.

Allen clearly wants to play with Hopkins, and the feeling is mutual. Hopkins previously named Allen as the quarterback he'd like to play with most in an appearance on the I AM Athlete podcast.

"One of my favorite quarterbacks that I've been watching since he came into the league is Josh Allen," Hopkins said. "He reminds me of a new-school Andrew Luck. I love Josh Allen."

If the Bills are still interested in Hopkins, they'll have some stiff competition. The star receiver is making his first official visit with the Tennessee Titans early next week, and other teams such as the Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys have been connected as well.

With Allen and other Bills being so vocal about recruiting him, perhaps that could push Hopkins towards signing in Buffalo.
