WATCH: Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen Finds James Cook for First TD vs. New England Patriots

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook found the end zone for the second time of the season on Sunday against the New England Patriots.

The Buffalo Bills failed to get second-year running back James Cook going in the Week 6 win over the New York Giants, but there was a clear emphasis on changing that in Sunday's meeting with the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium.

The Bills headed into halftime down 13-3 to the struggling 1-5 Patriots, and came out in the third quarter looking for a spark. Luckily for Josh Allen and the Buffalo offense, it was Cook's receiving ability that gave the Bills the push they need.

Faced with a crucial 3rd and goal, Cook got free near the line of scrimmage where Allen found him on a short completition. From there, the young ball-carrier did the rest, as he dove at the pylon for an eight-yard touchdown catch.

Take a look:

Cook entered this season as Buffalo's top weapon the backfield despite the offseason additions of Damien Harris and Latavius Murray. He's received tons of praise from the coaching staff, including offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey.

"He just continues to grow," Dorsey said. "It's some of those little detail things whether it's pressing a hole, a concept or a situation, short yardage, goal line that maybe he wasn't in, in the past."

Headed into the fourth quarter on Sunday, Cook had 11 carries for 52 yards and three catches for 46 yards and the touchdown. He and the Bills will look to get the offense going as they head into the final frame of the contest down 16-10 to an AFC East rival.
