Bills Josh Allen Jokingly Called Up to MLB After Blue Jays Batting Practice: VIDEO

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen nailed his "tryout" for the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday, even getting "called up" hours before the team begins it's four-game series with the New York Yankees.

It's baseball season, and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is taking full advantage before he has to put the helmet and pads back on.

After showing off at Micah Hyde's charity softball event last weekend - though he came up short of three-peating as home run derby champion - Allen took to the batter's box again on Monday, this time joining the Toronto Blue Jays at batting practice.

Cameras caught Allen taking some big-time swings. He was joined by fellow Bills quarterbacks Kyle Allen and Matt Barkley, though QB1 admitted on a video from the Blue Jays Twitter account that Barkley emerged victorious in the home run battle.

"Matt Barkley, home run champion," Allen said. "Hit five out, some deep shots. Shout out to Matt."

Still, Toronto apparently couldn't ignore Josh's ability as a batter, as the team announced that it has "recalled" Allen from Buffalo in what the Blue Jays jokingly labeled a "roster move."

Allen has thrown out a first pitch at a Blue Jays game and was an elite pitcher in high school. But he showed some big-hitter ability, and will need to quickly get ready for Monday's game if he wants to find himself in the batting order. After all, he was already sporting a No. 17 Blue Jays jersey with Allen on the back, so the job is already halfway done.

All jokes aside, Allen was certainly a celebrity during his visit with the team. He got to meet many of Toronto's best players, including Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

The Blue Jays (24-16) are hosting the New York Yankees (23-19) on Monday night at Rogers Centre in the first contest of a four-game series.
