Bills Ex RB LeSean McCoy: Replacement for Shannon Sharpe on 'Undisputed'?

Former Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy could be one step closer to the biggest gig of his TV career.

Former All-Pro running back LeSean McCoy remains the last Buffalo Bills player to reach the 1,000-yard rushing mark in a single season, doing so for the franchise in the 2017 campaign when he rushed for 1,138 yards.

Since then, "Shady" has made a career for himself in front of the camera as an analyst for FS1 on 'Speak.' And now, he could be one step closer to the biggest gig of his TV career.

Per reports from Front Office Sports, McCoy has emerged as a candidate to replace analyst and former NFL tight end Shannon Sharpe on FS1's 'Undisputed,' who has reportedly come to a contract buyout with Fox Sports after headlining the show with Skip Bayless since 2016.

McCoy "is expected to have an extended audition with the irascible Bayless once Sharpe takes his contractual buyout from Fox Sports," per Front Office Sports. He's joined by other reported candidates like Emmanuel Acho, Joy Taylor, Nick Wright as possibilities to join Skip Bayless on the sports debate show.

Sharpe and Bayless have been known to engage in heated debates, but have recently been rumored to be in disagreement with one another. This felt all but confirmed when Sharpe took a short leave of absence from an episode of the show after Bayless made some controversial tweets about Bills safety Damar Hamlin in January. When Sharpe came back on the show and tried to explain his side, Bayless interrupted him on-air in an awkward exchange that became viral.

McCoy, like Sharpe, won multiple Super Bowls during his playing days, but could now be looking to fill the big shoes left by the larger-than-life personality of the FS1 staple.
