Bills Trade Up in NFL Draft? Buffalo 'Anxious' for Deal - Report
The Buffalo Bills currently hold the No. 27 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft later this month.
But an attempt to move up the draft board could reportedly be coming, as it's a deal that the Bills are said to be "anxious" to make happen.
Per reports from ESPN, the Bills are a team to watch that could make an aggressive pursuit to move into a higher slot in the first round. The report even said that general manager Brandon Beane could "get anxious" and target an offensive lineman or skill player should a deal be completed.
"The Buffalo Bills are another AFC title contender with eyes on moving up, based on what I've heard from sources around the league," ESPN's Matt Miller wrote. " ... It's very possible general manager Brandon Beane gets anxious and moves up for an interior offensive lineman or offensive skill player."
Including their first-round pick, the Bills have six total selections in the draft as of now. Sending away any of these along with a future pick and a current player would seemingly be the only way Buffalo could move up to its desired spot.
Of course, this would come with a price and risk that the Bills would have to ask themselves about.
"Trading up very far wouldn't be possible without mortgaging future draft classes," Miller wrote.
Expect the buzz to continue to grow as the draft creeps closer. But for now, the Bills will have to remain focused on who they could potentially get at pick No. 27.
