Bills Falling Behind? Preseason Win Totals Released

Once again, the Buffalo Bills will enter the season as one of the best teams in the NFL, which preseason win totals reflect. But are they still primed for a setback after a 13-win campaign in 2022?

After entering last season as the definitive Super Bowl favorites, some view the Buffalo Bills coming up short once again in the playoffs as a disappointment.

Despite losing in the Divisional Round for the second straight season, though, the Bills are still seen as one of the best teams in the AFC.

But are still primed for a setback?

While there is still plenty of offseason before the start of Week 1, including the NFL draft later this month, Caesars Sportsbook released their preseason win totals recently for all 32 teams, which CBS Sports compiled.

The Bills checked in at 10.5 wins, which puts them at third in the AFC behind the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals who both have win totals of 11.5 games, but is good for first in the AFC East.

This is still less projected wins than the Bills had this past season, as they finished with a 13-3 record, good for the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoffs.

Despite the improvements made by both the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets this offseason, they still both are projected to finish behind the Bills at 9.5 wins.

Preseason projections as early as March and April are, of course, rather difficult to predict accurately. However, for a Bills team that finished first in their division the last three years with no less than 11 wins, winning over 10 games has seemingly become the norm.

With Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs leading the way on offense, as well as a defense that was able to Jordan Poyer and add Taylor Rapp in free agency, the Bills could very easily hit 11 wins or more once again.

As for their standing in the AFC, well, their last three playoff losses have come at the hands of the Chiefs and Bengals so it isn't too unreasonable that they're projected to finish third for now.
