Bills Signing Former Super Bowl Winning OL
The Buffalo Bills entered the offseason and free agency without any glaring holes on the roster. Rather, they have been able to go out and add players like running back Damien Harris who, while not a flashy signing, improve the roster ahead of next season.
On Thursday they added another solid signing, with the Bills announcing that they are signing former Los Angeles Rams offensive lineman David Edwards to a one-year deal.
Edwards was initially a fifth-round pick by the Rams out of Wisconsin in the 2019 draft, and has spent the first four seasons of his NFL career in Los Angeles. Now, though, he will be making his way east.
In his four seasons with the Rams, Edwards appeared in 54 games while starting in 46. He was a member of the Rams' Super Bowl run in 2021, helping to anchor the offensive line of one of the NFL's best offenses.
While one might question Edwards' health, with the lineman having only appeared in four games last season, in his first three seasons he was available for 16, 16 and 17 games respectively - with two concussions forcing him to miss all but four games last season.
Adding Edwards bolsters an already solid offensive line for the Bills, as well as giving them positional diversity as he has shown an ability to line up at both left and right guard.
