Bills Sign RB Latavius Murray; Pass on Cowboys Ex Ezekiel Elliott?

Latavius Murray ran for over 700 yards last season. Now, he joins the Buffalo Bills.

The Buffalo Bills are adding some experience to their running back room.

According to NFL Network, the Bills are signing 11-year veteran Latavius Murray to a one-year deal. Murray visited the Bills earlier this offseason and is signing with the team after Buffalo neglected to take a running back in this past weekend's NFL Draft.

Last season, Murray had somewhat of a renaissance, running for 760 yards with the New Orleans Saints and Denver Broncos, the most he's had in a season since 2017. Murray has built a decorated career, despite only being a sixth-round pick out of UCF in 2013.

The Bills are the sixth team that Murray has suited up for in his career after playing for the Oakland Raiders, Minnesota Vikings, Saints, Baltimore Ravens and Broncos.

With Murray signing, it likely takes the Bills out of the Ezekiel Elliott sweepstakes. The former Dallas Cowboys standout is still looking for a new squad after America's Team cut him earlier in the offseason.

This doesn't completely rule out Elliott to the Bills, but Zeke will likely not be as intrigued to sign with Buffalo over a team that could give him more touches.

With Murray into the fold, he joins second-year pro James Cook, former New England Patriot Damien Harris and last year's midseason acquisition Nyheim Hines in Buffalo's experienced running back room.
