If the Buffalo Bills are going to make a deep playoff run, veteran receiver Stefon Diggs will have to play at a high level.

While many consider Diggs to have had a "down" year in 2023, it's because he couldn't match the exceptional bar he had already set for himself in the first three years he's played for the Bills.

Diggs caught for only 1,183 yards this season - his lowest total as a Bill. However, he was still among the top 15 in the NFL in yards, mainly due to his route running.

"He’s an elite route runner," Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said. "He is one of the best, if not the best. I remember when he came into the league, I was just really shocked by the maturity of his route running. ... Got a lot of respect for him."

Diggs will have a tough assignment on Sunday being covered by rookie cornerback Joey Porter Jr., who has arguably been the best first-year player at his position.

While he hasn't caught for 100 yards since Week 6, Diggs has had at least four receptions in all but one game this season. Whether or not that indicates Diggs has taken a step back, he is still an elite receiver and he's someone the Steelers have their eye on.

The Steelers and Bills are set to kick off at 1 p.m. ET inside Highmark Stadium on Sunday.
