Buffalo Bills LB Von Miller Pushing For Week 5 Return: 'I Want This To Happen!'
Buffalo Bills fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of star linebacker Von Miller, and he has been dying to get back on the field as well.
With Miller returning to practice this week, that return could be getting closer and closer. While it's not certain that he will play in Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, Miller is shooting for a return this weekend.
"I don't know if the fans can expect to see me yet, but if I was a betting man I would say yeah, you can expect to see Von Miller in London. . . Who knows how many chances I'll get to play in London, so I want this to happen," Miller said Tuesday on Bleacher Report's The Von Cast. "I want this to happen, I'm pushing for it to happen. I think you can go ahead and really check that box and you guys will see me playing in London."
Before fans get too excited, Miller added that him playing on Sunday is still not a guarantee. The eight-time Pro Bowl selection said that getting back into the flow of practice is critical to his return, and that he wants to see how he feels before committing to playing.
"It's still not a promise that I play in this game," Miller said. "I want to play in this game. I gotta practice tomorrow and I only get one padded practice. So obviously I got out there and I [need to] look amazing with this padded practice.
Miller has been out since Thanksgiving, when he suffered a torn ACL during a road game against the Detroit Lions. The 2022 season was his first with the Bills, and he had an impressive eight sacks in the 11 games he played. His absence was immediately noticeable, as Buffalo's pass rush struggled to get home after his injury.
This season, though, the Bills' pass rush has performed much better without Miller. Buffalo has 16 sacks through its first four games, tied for the most in the league. Leonard Floyd, Ed Oliver and Greg Rousseau have all been impressive with at least three sacks each.
Adding Miller to an already-strong pass rush would be a huge boost for Buffalo, and if all goes well, it could happen very soon.
