Leonard Fournette vs. James Cook: Should Buffalo Bills Make Roster Move?
The Buffalo Bills likely won't decline any form of assistance when it comes to getting their offense back on track. Western New York has already bid farewell to offensive boss Ken Dorsey and several other major roles and positions will likely be re-evaluated ... but only after this ongoing this ends.
With that in mind, there's still time for the Bills (5-5) to make things right. They're only a game-and-a-half out of first place in the AFC East and are in the thick of the Wild Card logjam entering Week 11's Sunday action when they host the New York Jets (4:25 p.m. ET, CBS).
Could a late playoff push call upon the services of Leonard Fournettte, an immediate newcomer who is not only well-versed in postseason play but also able to provide an offensive spark? Head coach Sean McDermott appeared to hint at the possibility in some of his final statements before the Jets arrive.
"McDermott says Leonard Fournette has been a nice addition to the team and continues to learn the offense," team reporter Maddy Glab said heading into the weekend. "McDermott says if not this week, then the weeks ahead he will be a 'big time consideration' for (a) call-up."
The Bills' run game put up a season-best 192 yards on the ground in Monday's loss to the Denver Broncos but headliner James Cook was responsible for two fumbles. Fournette's most recent NFL action came during the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Tom Brady era, which included a victorious run to Super Bowl LV.

Though the Bills have been awakened from their championship dreams for the time being, Fournette was initially attracted to the Bills' invitation thanks to the prospects of competing for a championship.
"I came from winning, and I'm just trying to finish it off as winning overall in my career," Fournette said in video from the Bills upon his arrival. "I had my ups and downs, but, overall, I'm just blessed. I spent more time with my kids, my family than usual. I haven't had a break like that since I was 17."
