Report Reveals Four Top-30 Prospects Broncos Have Shown Interest in

The Denver Broncos are interested in these four NFL draft prospects.

The Denver Broncos are getting all their ducks in a row for the 2023 NFL draft. Although Denver doesn't go on the clock for the first time until pick No. 67 (third round), the front office continues to gather as much information on this year's class as it can.

As part of that due diligence, Broncos GM George Paton is utilizing his prerogative to host top-30 visits with 2023 draft prospects. Denver can hold as many as 30 such meetings with prospects, whether via Zoom or in-person.

That doesn't count all the pro days. Some fans might think it's a lot of resources going to waste in a draft where the Broncos are poised to sit out the first and second round, but it's quite the contrary. Because the Broncos only hold five picks, this team needs to be as comprehensive as possible in preparing to make the most of its selections.

As it stands, the Broncos have been connected to four prospects via top-30 visits, two of which have already happened. Here's a look at those prospects Denver has displayed genuine interest in, courtesy of 9NEWS' Mike Klis

The interest the Broncos have shown initially is mostly on offensive prospects. However, Colletto is a versatile do-it-all football player who contributed both as a fullback and a linebacker at Oregon State. He's also a former quarterback.

As a red-shirt senior, Overshown totaled 96 tackles (49 solo), 10 of which were for a loss. He also notched four sacks and five passes defended.

Durden was a touchdown machine in his two years at West Florida, scoring 23 times and averaging 21.8 yards per reception over that same span. He exits the college ranks as a Division II All-American.

At 6-foot-2 and 217 pounds, Clifford is the reigning Rose Bowl Offensive MVP. He started 46 games for the Nittany Lions, completing 61.4% of his passes for 10,661 yards and 86 touchdowns, with 31 interceptions.

Clifford's dual-threat ability saw him also total 15 rushing touchdowns. It's a big reason why he's drawn comparisons to former Sean Payton QB pupil in New Orleans Taysom Hill. Clifford exits Penn State with a 32-14 career record as a starter.

It'll be interesting to see how the Broncos ultimately utilize what draft capital they have this year. Paton and Payton knocked NFL free agency out of the park. Time will tell whether the GM/HC duo can duplicate that success with a nice draft haul.
