Buccaneers listed with top odds to land Four-Time Pro Bowl Quarterback according to Betting Service
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers might be in the market for a quarterback this offseason after Tom Brady retired at the beginning of February. At this point, former second-round pick Kyle Trask is the only signal-caller under contract with the franchise.
Regardless, the Buccaneers hold the No. 19 overall selection in the upcoming NFL Draft and will be exploring free agency and the trade market as well. It's doubtful that the franchise is looking to drop back into obscurity behind second-year head coach Todd Bowles and a roster that is still built like a postseason contender.

In recent weeks, Tampa Bay has found itself connected to former Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr by multiple analysts. Buzz coming out of the Senior Bowl in Mobile from earlier this month indicated that the Buccaneers were the early favorite for Carr.
Since then, the veteran quarterback visited the New Orleans Saints before ultimately being cut by the Raiders before his salary for the upcoming season was guaranteed. As things currently stand, Carr is an unrestricted free agent and controls his own destiny.
According to recent odds that were released by Bookies.com, Tampa Bay holds the top odds to land Carr at +250 which is an implied probability of 28.6%. Two other NFC South teams - Carolina (+300) and New Orleans (+400) - sit right on the Buccaneers' heels. Other teams to make the list include the New York Jets (+625), Indianapolis (+1000), and Houston (+1400).
Carr is coming off a down year that saw him get benched down the stretch of the regular season. However, he was still named to his fourth Pro Bowl (2015, 2016, 2017, 2022) after completing 305/502 passes (60.8%) for 3,522 yards with 24 touchdowns to 14 interceptions.
It's important to note that he's only one year removed from a 2021 season where he threw for a career-high 4,804 yards. He's thrown for at least 20 touchdown passes in seven of his eight seasons at the NFL level and only holds a career interception percentage of 2%.
