Buccaneers' Star Wide Receiver Mike Evans To Undergo MRI

Tampa Bay Buccaneers' WR1 Mike Evans is set to undergo an MRI today to confirm a possible hamstring injury.
In this story:

During the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rivalry game against the New Orleans Saints this past Sunday, top wideout Mike Evans left the game during the second quarter with some type of injury that caused him to miss the remainder of the contest.

Prior to the injury, Evans was on pace to have another great game collecting all three of his targets for 40 yards.

Luckily for the Bucs, other wide receivers stepped up in his absence, but following the game the concern turned toward Evan's injury and how long he could potentially be out for.

As reported by ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the belief is that Evans suffered a mild hamstring injury and will undergo an MRI today to confirm whether or not that is the case.

If Evans did in fact suffer a mild hamstring injury the Buccaneers' BYE week couldn't have come at a better time as it would bode well for his return in two weeks' time.

Mike Evans has dealt with hamstring issues and injuries throughout his career and it has seemingly become something that is expected from Tampa Bay fans each season.

Hopefully, the BYE week and proper management of the injury will be enough to keep Evans on the field for the remainder of the season.
