BucsGameday Staff Score Predictions: Tampa Bay Buccaneers At Green Bay Packers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have won two straight games and are now back on top of the NFC South. With four games remaining in the regular season, the Buccaneers are firmly in control of their own destiny as they try to qualify for the postseason for a fourth consecutive year. The team can further its probability with a victory over the Green Bay Packers on the road.
The Packers are 6-7 overall after being upset by the New York Giants last week. With that being said, Green Bay is 4-2 at home and it gets tougher to win at Lambeau Field as the season progresses. Quarterback Jordan Love has been up and down during his first season as a starter, completing 275/447 (61.5%) passes for 3,084 yards with 23 touchdowns to 11 interceptions. He's also tied for the team lead in rushing scores with two.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Waive Former Third-Round Pick Running Back
This is another opportunity for the Buccaneers to find success on the ground. Green Bay has the second-worst rushing defense in the league which probably has Tampa Bay's offense salivating after putting up a season-high 148 yards against the Falcons. The performance marked three consecutive games where the offense has crossed the century mark on the ground.
Our staff provides their predictions and analysis as the Buccaneers prepare to take on the Packers at Lambeau Field.

The Buccaneers seem to have finally found a spark after two consecutive division wins. The team, and Todd Bowles, were visibly excited after pulling out a gutsy win in Atlanta. Tampa Bay is in control of its own destiny and can create some breathing room with a win in Green Bay.
Will the momentum continue against an inconsistent Packers team? It's certainly possible with the way the Buccaneers have played on both sides of the ball as of late. Baker Mayfield and the offense will need to take advantage of their opportunities while the defense has to force Jordan Love into some mistakes.
I think this will be a gritty and low-scoring affair. Tampa Bay does just enough in the end to win its third consecutive game on its way back to a .500 record.

I think this will be a great test to see if the Buccaneers actually want to make things interesting if they make it to the playoffs because the Packers have shown they have some fight in them. Having multiple players back, including Jamel Dean and Devin White will be huge in stopping Jordan Love and the Packers’ offense.
Like Mayfield mentioned in Wednesday’s presser, the offense needs to convert on third downs and find the end zone more frequently when in the red zone. If Tampa can do that, I feel stronger about their chances on the road in Green Bay which isn’t an easy place to play in December.

In a battle of two teams that have had good and bad moments while struggling to find consistency, I’ve got to lean toward the team with the better defense and more experienced quarterback.

The 'Battle of the Bays' between the Packers and Buccaneers will look a little different than it did when these two teams met in the NFC Championship game back in January of 2021. No more Brady. No more Rodgers. And both teams are below .500 with just four games remaining on the schedule.
Still, this is an intriguing matchup because, despite their lack of consistency, both teams are currently sitting in playoff position -- with that expected to change following Sunday's matchup.
I'm betting on Baker Mayfield and his veteran cast of playmakers to outduel Jordan Love and the young receivers he'll be throwing to. Hopefully, for the Bucs, a couple of key players are able to return to the lineup. Otherwise, this prediction may be unwarranted.

Perhaps the biggest matchup of the year is upon us and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they head North to chilly Green Bay, Wisconsin to take on the Green Bay Packers. The Buccaneers are vying for a playoff spot and in need of a huge NFC win to gain further separation in the NFC South. Their chances of making the playoffs would take a great leap with a win on Sunday.
The Buccaneers are finally starting to get healthy and will face off against a Packers team who are coming off a loss to the New York Giants - marking the first time Matt LaFleur has lost a game in December. Unfortunately for the Bucs, they will be playing in colder weather compared to what they are used to. The team should come out with fire understanding the enormity of the game, but ultimately I think being on the road will be too much for them as they drop a close one.

The Bucs control their destiny and a win on Sunday can help further their quest for the NFC South title and a playoff berth. The Packers have been inconsistent this year with their most recent loss coming to the 4-8 Giants. They are susceptible to the run and lucky for the Bucs they just started to get their run game going.
If Tampa Bay is going to win, getting the run game going early will be to their benefit. The Packers' defense has had trouble getting to the quarterback ranking 22nd in the league with just 29 sacks and has had trouble creating turnovers with just six on the season. They have also allowed the most explosive plays in the run game and passing game all season so taking the shots when they present themselves will be key to victory. If the Bucs can play clean football they should come away with a victory in a hard-fought game.

Both teams are 6-7 so far this season, so this game is going to end up being a tight one. The Buccaneers, though, are playing for a bit more than the Packers as they’re protecting the top seed in the NFC South. Coming down to a close game, Baker Mayfield the Buccaneers should be able to squeeze out a tight one to get back to a .500 record.

The Packers defense has struggled to hold opponents off for whole games this season and they will struggle again against the Bucs. I expect Rachaad White to have his best game of the year and put up massive numbers. The Packers' offense will be able to move the ball and work downfield but I am predicting Antoine Winfield to get Jordan Love and give the momentum to the Bucs.

The mindset for the Bucs is pretty clear, treat every game like they’re already in the playoffs. This team can’t afford a loss with how tight the division is. The Buccaneers are currently first in the division at 6-7, holding the tiebreaker between the Saints and Falcons who have the same record. There are four more games left in the regular season and this week the Bucs travel to Lambeau Field. Since 1990, the Bucs have only beaten the Packers once in the regular season at their house out of fifteen games.
There are a lot of injuries on defense and the Packers have been playing pretty well lately. The offense needs to put a complete game together to keep the Bucs on top in this matchup. Recent success in the run game should help open up the offense and that needs to continue this week. Close game, but with the Packers having a short week after a rough loss to the Giants on Monday night, the Bucs pull through in a close one.

After winning two straight, the Bucs are traveling to Green Bay to face off against the Packers. I think the Bucs will play a solid game and come out with the win. If they can force pressure on Jordan Love, I like their chances.
