Former Bucs' Wide Receiver Sends Message to Tampa Bay After Signing with Rival

Former Bucs' WR, Scotty Miller, expressed his gratitude for the organization following his recent signing with the Atlanta Falcons.

The NFL free agency season is full of twists, turns, and excitement, but that isn't always the case as teams and fans alike have to say so-long to some of their most-valued, well-liked players.

For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they were able to retain some of those players like Jamel Dean and Lavonte David, but due to their salary cap situation, they have had to let go of fan-favorites like Leonard Fournette and just last week, WR Scotty 'Scooter' Miller.

Last week, the former sixth-round pick of the Buccaneers, decided to sign with NFC South division rivals, the Atlanta Falcons, and during his introductory press conference with reporters sent a heartfelt message to the Buccaneers' organization.

The old guard from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 2020 Super Bowl winning team is slowly depleting. Tom Brady has retired, Donovan Smith, Leonard Fournette, Cameron Brate, Sean Murphy-Bunting, amongst others are now all off of Tampa Bay's roster.

Some of those departures hurt more than others, but seeing the good times fade is never ideal for any fanbase. Miller heading to Atlanta to play for the Falcons will be a tough pill for Bucs' fans to swallow, but ultimately it was the right decision for his career. Looking for snaps in the Bucs' offense will be much more difficult than it will be for Miller to find snaps in Atlanta - ultimately giving 'Scooter' the ability to extend his career and show that he is worthy of a higher snap count.
