Nick Bosa Reveals Chat With Buccaneers' QB Baker Mayfield Following Interception
Whatever beef there was between San Francisco 49ers' defensive end Nick Bosa and Tampa Bay Buccaneers' quarterback Baker Mayfield seemed to have been put to rest, but things might have gotten a bit more interesting during Sunday's matchup.
Of course the original "beef", if there was any at all, stems from when Baker Mayfield planted the Oklahoma Sooners' flag in the middle of the field/logo after beating Nick Bosa's Ohio State Buckeyes back when the two were in college and then the subsequent sack celebration where Bosa mocked Baker's collegiate celebration after sacking the then-Browns' QB.
Buccaneers Star Tackle Gives Strong Comments on Quarterback Baker Mayfield
Things seemed to have piped down since those days, but on Sunday Bosa approached Baker in the fourth quarter after the latter threw an interception late in the game that was detrimental to any sort of comeback, and appeared to have some words with the Bucs' QB.
From his conversation with the referee on the play, it was clear that Mayfield thought he had been roughed on the play and when asked by reporters following the play if he went over to console Baker, Bosa set the record straight on what was actually said.
“No, he was bitching to the ref, and I told him there’s no horse collar in the pocket,” Bosa said. “He thought he got roughed.”
After seemingly being in the game and then out of it throughout the contest, the Buccaneers could never overcome the hole they dug themselves into in the third quarter, ultimately allowing Bosa and the 49ers to show that they were indeed the better team.

It will be interesting moving forward if these two ever matchup again to see who gets the best of who and what words will be said.
