Star Buccaneers' Offensive Lineman Predicts Surprising Record in 2023
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will look a lot different than they have the previous three seasons this fall. Tom Brady is now retired, free agency departures and arrivals, and a slew of new faces on the coaching staff brings the Bucs into a new era of football.
With the roster and coaching staff shaken up, the success that the Buccaneers have seen in recent seasons may be starting to trend down. However, fans and the team alike, have shown optimism for the upcoming season if everything falls into place as they hope.

The biggest question mark surrounding the Bucs organization is who will be the team's starting quarterback in 2023. The battle between Kyle Trask and Baker Mayfield will seemingly continue to play out as training camp begins towards the end of July and into August.
Even with the QB situation not settled, one star player on the team believes that the Buccaneers will shock some people by having another winning season, and potentially making the playoffs.
In a recent interview on a Minnesota Vikings podcast, Vikes Verified, Bucs' All-Pro offensive tackle, Tristan Wirfs, was asked to predict what the Buccaneers' record would be in 2023 for which he quickly paused and gave a short and sweet answer.
"12-5"
12-5. Whew, that is some extreme optimism when looking at the Buccaneers and their schedule. The Bucs will have to face some of the top teams in the league in '23 including the Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills, and San Francisco 49ers - all who have aspirations of Super Bowl appearances.
A tough schedule, yes, but there is plenty of room for optimism as the Buccaneers will get a breath of fresh air with a new quarterback and high-energy offensive coordinator at the helm. The path to 12-5 seems steep, but the goal to win the NFC South and make the playoffs is definitely not out of reach for a team that could surprise a lot of folks come the regular season.
