Buccaneers Mike Evans Wants to 'Finish Career' in Tampa
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans has been with the team since his first day in the NFL. The 29-year-old has been with the team since 2014.
More impressive than his long tenure with the team, Evans has racked up 1,000 or more receiving yards in each of the nine seasons he's played thus far.

After a strong start to training camp, the receiver reiterated his wishes to be with the team on a long-term basis.
“Of course, I’d love to finish my career here,” Evans said. “There’s really nothing I can do about it. I’m not going to stay home and make a big deal about it. So, I’m just out here working as hard as I can."
Evans could be playing his final season with the squad. Tom Brady has since retired and the team could be heading in a different direction for a new era. In the final season if his five-year contract, the Pro Bowl receiver may be able to search for a new home after this season.
"I’m here. I’ve always loved being here, and obviously I want to stay here and I’m sure they want to keep me. But it’s a business," Evans continued.
Alongside putting together some incredible seasons and great counting stats, Evans played a key role in the team winning a Super Bowl, something that won't be forgotten in Buccaneers history.
Ahead of the season starting, the Buccaneers and Evans can come to an agreement to keep him with the team for a longer period of time, but as a new era is on the way, the contract will have to make sense for both sides.
For a player that has embraced the Buccaneers for his entire career, his presence could be incredible for any new guys that come in to establish the new era of football.
