Tom Brady Pays Homage To Bill Belichick With Heartfelt Post After Patriots Split

The greatest quarterback of all time had plenty of praise for arguably the greatest coach of all time.

There hasn't been a more successful combination in NFL history than Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. The pair combined for over 200 wins, Six Super Bowls, 17 AFC East Championships, and constant memories from 2000-19 with the New England Patriots.

Though Brady eventually moved on and finished his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, adding a seventh ring to his treasure chest, there is still a ton of respect between the two.

When news broke that the Patriots and Belichick were parting ways on Thursday, it didn't take long for Brady to pay homage to his former coach, whom he referred to as the best coach in the history of the NFL.

"I’m incredibly grateful to have played for the best coach in the history of the NFL."

"He was a great leader for the organization, and for all of the players who played for him. We accomplished some amazing things over a long period of time, many of which will be hard to replicate. he worked every day to help us achieve the ultimate goal, in the ultimate team sport. And, although we were successful, some of the greatest lessons I learned were in the moments where we faced the most challenging adversities. He set the tone for the organization to never falter in the face of adversity, and to do what we could do, and what was in our control, which was to go out and DO OUR JOB."

"I could never have been the player I was without you Coach Belichick. I am forever grateful. And I wish you the best of luck in whatever you choose next."

Things might not have finished how Brady and Belichick wanted them to during their time together but they have a bond that goes beyond the football field and that will last forever.

We may never see a duo accomplish as much success as they did in their two decades dominating the sport.
