DeAndre Hopkins Hints at Two Teams He Wants to be Traded to
The Arizona Cardinals have had an interesting offseason that's kept them in headlines for (more often than not) troubled reasons.
The Cardinals are clearly entering a rebuilding stage after a 4-13 season eventually led to a new front office and coaching staff. Arizona isn't realistically expected to compete in the near future, and thus new figures such as general manager Monti Ossenfort and coach Jonathan Gannon are intent on trimming fat off the roster.
That includes wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who currently carries the second highest cap hit for his position ($30.75 million in 2023). Arizona simply doesn't need his salary ($19.45 million in cash) next season and Hopkins himself likely wants another chance to play on a contending team.
Speculation continues to grow on where he will be dealt, but where does Hopkins himself want to go?
On the All Things Covered podcast, Hopkins was asked to respond (non-verbally) to potential destinations.
-The New England Patriots were met with a not-so-pleasant look.
-The Buffalo Bills received a very approved smirk.
-The New York Jets simply got a head down.
-To finish, the Kansas City Chiefs also received good body language.

Hopkins was initially made available in the early stages of the offseason. According to The Score's Jordan Schultz, Hopkins had preferred destinations such as the Los Angeles Chargers and Jacksonville Jaguars.
