Cardinals Dead Last in NFL Offseason Power Rankings

The Arizona Cardinals can't fall any further in these NFL offseason power rankings.
In this story:

It's been a strange offseason for the Arizona Cardinals.

HC Kliff Kingsbury? Gone. GM Steve Keim? Gone. You can add DE J.J. Watt along with their top free agents in CB Byron Murphy and DE Zach Allen. WR DeAndre Hopkins is set to join that list soon, too.

Plenty of turnover has and will continue to take place in order to right the wrongs of a 4-13 season. It's not pretty, but the Cardinals are in the very beginning stages of their rebuild.

Thus you won't find Arizona making any splash moves to put them in contention next year, and that's been the case in a fairly quiet free agency period.

They rank dead last at No. 32 in Sports Illustrated's post free agency power rankings:

"Kyler Murray isn’t starting the season, J.J. Watt is gone and DeAndre Hopkins could end up being shipped out in a draft-day deal à la Hollywood Brown and A.J. Brown a year ago," said Conor Orr.

"This division belongs to the 49ers right now, and the Seahawks aren’t regressing any time soon. The Cardinals would not have gotten rid of a coach and general manager in the early stages of a long-term extension if they didn’t know how bad a shape they were in."

It'd certainly be hard to make arguments for Arizona moving up more than a handful of spots - such is life for where the Cardinals are currently at.
