Former Cardinals Available in Free Agency
The Arizona Cardinals have seen some hefty names depart the organization over the years, and as the team breaks from minicamp, majority of the roster already feels set in stone.
However, there's still some notable names out there in free agency for the Cardinals (or any other team) to add. Often times, veterans will wait to sign until closer to training camp while other teams injuries in preseason/regular season force an emergency signing.
When looking at the current crop of players available on the market, names such as Ezekiel Elliot and Dalvin Cook immediately pop.
Yet there's a handful of familiar names out there that Cardinals fans will surely recognize:
Former Cardinals Available in Free Agency
Offense
RB Darrel Williams (28)
WR DeAndre Hopkins (31)
WR Antoine Wesley (25)
WR Javon Wims (28)
TE Maxx Williams (29)
TE Stephen Anderson (30)
G Justin Pugh (32)
G Max Garcia (31)
G Sean Harlow (28)
Hopkins headlines a list that truthfully doesn't have much juice after. Pugh is still recovering from ACL surgery but does intend to play next season.
Could any of these players return to Arizona? Perhaps Garcia or Harlow simply for depth. Wims was recently cut and the Cardinals appear to like their tight end room with Zach Ertz and Trey McBride leading the way.
Defense
S Charles Washington (30)
S Chris Banjo (33)
CB Josh Jackson (27)
LB Nick Vigil (29)
LB Tanner Vallejo (28)
LB Blake Lynch (24)
The Cardinals did their best to add talent to all three levels of the defense through free agency and the draft, so it's tough to envision any of these names getting another opportunity once training camp arrives.
Special Teams
LS Joe Fortunato (29)
Andy Lee (40)
Zane Gonzalez (28)
Elliot Fry (28)
You thought we weren't going to talk about the legendary Andy Lee???
In all seriousness, the Cardinals brought in Matt Haack this offseason, so we'll see if Lee is given another opportunity here.
